Originally reported by Sportsnet.ca on Thursday, the as-yet-unannounced event is set to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

After making it to the finals of Season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter–where he lost to Roy Nelson–Schaub has made quick work of his last two opponents, knocking out both Chase Gormley and Chris Tuchscherer in a combined 1 minute and 54 seconds.

Gonzaga is coming off a knockout loss to Junior Dos Santos.  Previous to that, he defeated the aforementioned Tuchscherer by TKO in August 2009.  The Brazilian has 11 career fight’s in the UFC, with a record of 7-4.

The bout is billed as the co-main event along with Brandon Vera vs. Jon Jones, set to be broadcast on Versus, which is the organization’s first show on the network.

Dos Santos (10-1) has been on a tear since joining the UFC in October 2008, going 4-0 with three TKO’s. He was originally scheduled to face Gonzaga earlier this month at UFC 108, but Gonzaga was pulled from the bout due to injury. Instead he faced veteran fighter Gilbert Yvel who didn’t make it out of the first round against the Brazilian.

Gonzaga (11-4) has had six bouts in the organization since his famous head-kick knockout of Mirko Cro Cop in 2007. He’s gone 3-3 in those six fights, most recently defeating Chris Tuchscherer by TKO at UFC 102 in August 2009.

UFN 21 takes place on March 21st at the Odeum Colorado in Broomfield, CO. The event begins at 10pm ET on Versus.

Gonzaga was scheduled to face Junior Dos Santos on the main card at UFC 108 on January 2nd.  A case of staph infection in his elbow has now forced him out.

Apparently Gonzaga had already been suffering from bursitis in his elbow, which has now lead to the infection and sent him to the sidelines.

No announcement has been made on whether Dos Santos will remain on the card with a new opponent, or if the bout will be scrapped altogether.

Gonzaga is coming off an impressive TKO victory over Chris Tuchscherer at UFC 102.  Since his famous head-kick knockout of Mirko Cro Cop in 2007, Gonzaga has fought six times with a 3-3 record.

UFC 108 takes place on January 2nd from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Gonzaga has gone 7-3 in the UFC since joining the organization in 2005.  His last fight came in August at UFC 102 where he defeated Chris Tuchscherer by TKO in the first round.

Dos Santos is 9-1 overrall and has racked up three consecutive victories in the Octagon, defeating Fabricio Werdum, Stefan Struve, and most recently Mirko Cro Cop.  A victory over Gonzaga would certainly put him in title contention.

Also added to the main card is a welterweight matchup between Paul “Semtex” Daley and Carlos Condit.

Daley made his UFC debut at UFC 103, filling in for an injured Mike Swick, and defeating Martin Kampmann by TKO.  He holds a professional record of 22-8-2.

Condit, the former WEC welterweight champion, is 1-1 in the UFC.  He last fought and defeated Jake Ellenberger by split decision at UFC Fight Night in September.

UFC 108 takes place on January 2nd from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.  The event will be shown live on pay-per-view.
