Hometown boy Joe Lauzon got the party started early with a dominating performance over Gabe Ruediger, slamming him to the mat and reigning down punches before finishing him with an armbar.  The Massachusetts-native received “Submission of the Night” for his efforts.

Opening the pay-per-view card, Nate Diaz and Marcus Davis went toe-to-toe, trading punches with Diaz seeming to get the best of most exchanges.  Diaz took control in the third round getting Davis to the ground and finishing him with a guillotine choke.  Both men were awarded “Fight of the Night.”

Anthony Pettis continued his rise in the WEC lightweight division with a third round submission victory over Shane Roller in the night’s co-main event.  Pettis finished Roller with a triangle choke and took home “Submission of the Night.”

Scott Jorgensen and Brad Pickett were awarded “Fight of the Night” for their three round battle in the bantamweight division.  Jorgensen ultimately came out on top with a unanimous decision victory.

Maciej Jewtuszko made a splash in his WEC debut with a TKO victory over Anthony Njokuani and getting “Knockout of the Night” for his efforts.

The world’s best pound-for-pound fighter, Anderson Silva, came away with a miraculous 5th round triangle choke to force the tapout from Chael Sonnen.  Silva remains the middleweight champion and took home some extra cash with one of the “Submission of the Night” awards.

The second “Submission of the Night” went to Matt Hughes for his first round submission of Ricardo Almeida.  Hughes clipped Almeida early in the round and pounced on him and secured a front headlock which choked Almeida unconscious.

The “Fight of the Night” bonus went to the main event participants, as Chael Sonnen dominated Anderson Silva for four-and-a-half rounds before getting caught with a triangle choke.  Sonnen clearly backed up all his trash talk and nearly became the new middleweight champion.

Stefan Struve pulled-off a come from behind knockout against Christian Morecraft to win “Knockout of the Night.”  Struve fought through some devastating ground-n-pound in the first round but came back to knockout Morecraft in the 2nd.

In the night’s first televised fight, Takanori Gomi landed a vicious right hook to the chin of Tyson Griffin, leaving the Xtreme Couture fighter unconscious.  It was the first time Griffin has been stopped in his career, and earned Gomi “Knockout of the Night.”

Brazilian Charles Oliveira walked away $40k richer in his UFC debut, earning “Submission of the Night” honors.  After getting taken down early, Oliveira quickly slapped-on a triangle choke which he then transitioned to an armbar, forcing his opponent Darren Elkins to tap.

Making his middleweight debut, Brian Stann fought off Mike Massenzio’s grappling to sink in a triangle choke in the third round.  Both fighter’s were awarded “Fight of the Night.”

Kicking off the main card, Eddie Wineland used his superior striking to stop Will Campuzano in the 2nd round by TKO.  The victory earned Wineland “Knockout of the Night” and his third consecutive win in the cage.

In an entertaining mix of kickboxing skills, Mark Hominick and Yves Yabouin traded strikes for two rounds before Hominick was able to get the TKO victory.  The exciting battle earned both fighters “Fight of the Night” honors.

In the featherweight division, Josh “The Fluke” Grispi pushed his professional record to 14-1 with a first round submission victory over LC Davis.  Grispi was able to secure a deep guillotine choke on Davis, rendering him unconscious and getting “Submission of the Night” for his efforts.

Team Liddell fighter Court McGee walked away the new TUF champion, as well as a “Submission of the Night” bonus for his 2nd round rear naked choke victory over Kris McCray.

Veteran UFC fighter Chris Leben was able to thwart Aaron Simpson’s numerous takedown attempts before finishing him with numerous punches in the 2nd round to take home a TKO victory and “Knockout of the Night” bonus.

Co-headliners Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill battled-it-out for three rounds, exchanging kicks and punches and grabbing “Fight of the Night” honors.  Hamill won the bout in a majority decision.

“Knockout of the Night” honors went to an unlikely fighter in Mike Russow.  Russow was dominated for two-and-a-half rounds by the quicker and more aggresive Todd Duffee.  However, mid-way through the third round Russow connected with a straight right that dropped Duffee and gave Russow one of the most incredible knockouts in recent memory.

Jason Brilz, though on the losing end of a somewhat controversial split decision, walked away $65 grand richer and with some new fans as he and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira were awarded “Fight of the Night.”  Brilz was a replacement for an injured Forrest Griffin.

The “Submission of the Night” was found on one of the un-aired undercard bouts as Ryan Jensen was able to force Jesse Forbes to tap with a guillotine choke in the first round.  Jensen secured the only submission victory on the card.

Headliner Maurcio “Shogun” Rua walked away from UFC 113 the newly-crowned light heavyweight champion, as well as an extra $65k richer.  Rua knocked out Lyoto Machida in the first round to become champion and was awarded “Knockout of the Night” for his efforts.

In the night’s first pay-per-view televised fight, Alan “The Talent” Belcher traded some standup with Canadian Patrick Cote before securing a rear naked choke in the second round.  Belcher was awarded “Submission of the Night.”

The always entertaining Sam Stout and Jeremy Stephens each took home “Fight of the Night” for their three round battle that ended in a split decision victory for Stephens.

Taking home “Fight of the Night,” Leonard Garcia and Chan Sung Jung let it all hang out in their preliminary bout that was broadcasted on Spike.  Garcia eeked-out a split decision victory, but Jung could hardly be considered a loser in one of the more entertaining bouts in the organization’s history.

In a highly-touted lightweight championship rematch between Ben Henderson and Donald Cerrone, Henderson proved to be the better man, locking in a tight guillotine early in the first round forcing Cerrone to tap and getting “Submission of the Night” for his efforts.

Former Ultimate Fighter runner-up Manny Gamburyan was awarded “Knockout of the Night,” catching former WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown with a right hook followed by several hammer-fists for the KO victory.

In the night’s first broadcasted fight, Mark Munoz survived several submission attempts in the first round to come back and finish Kendall Grove with some devastating ground-n-pound in the second round.  Both men took home “Fight of the Night” honors.

Ultimate Fighter “U.S. vs. U.K.” runner-up DaMarques Johnson scored “Knockout of the Night,” stopping Brad Blackburn at 2:08 in the third and final round.

Lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos was awarded “Submission of the Night” for his second round submission over Terry Etim.  After gaining top position and advancing to north-south, Dos Anjos threatened a kimura before transitioning to an armbar which forced the tap.
