According to UFC President Dana White, the winner of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans will get the first crack at newly-crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
White confirmed the news via text message to the Carmichael Dave Show.
“The winner of the Rampage Jackson vs. Rashad Evans fight will get the first shot at Shogun,” White said.
Jackson and Evans meet at the main event of UFC 114 which takes place on Saturday, May 29.
Rua defeated Lyto Machida this past Saturday (May 8) to become the UFC light heavyweight champion.
