Brazilian light heavyweight Thiago Silva has agreed to face Tim Boetsch at UFC 117, according to a report by sherdog.com.
The 27 year-old Silva is 14-2 in his MMA career with one of his two losses coming in his last bout against Rashad Evans at UFC 108 in January.
Tim “The Barbarian” Boetsch had his first fight for the UFC in February 2008 but was released from the organization in March 2009 following a unanimous decision loss to Jason Brilz. Since his release he has gone 3-0 with his last victory coming in April while fighting for the North American Fighting Championship. He boasts an overall record of 11-3.
UFC 117, though not officially announced, is expected to take place on August 7 from the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
