Shine Fight Promotions has announced the signing of MMA veteran Nick “The Goat” Thompson.
A former Bodog Fight world champion with over 50 fights on his resume, Thompson will likely be placed right at the top of the welterweight division.
“Nick is a world-class fighter, and we’re extremely excited to feature him in our shows,” said Shine Fights matchmaker Ron Foster.
Thompson holds notable victories over Josh Neer and Eddie Alvarez, and he also scored a unanimous decision victory over current UFC contender Paul “Semtex” Daley in February 2009.
“The Goat” is expected to make his debut for Shine Fights sometime in early 2010.
