A light heavyweight matchup between Cheick Kongo and Paul Buentello has been added to the UFC on Versus event set for March 21st.
Kongo (24-6-1) has suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Cain Velasquez and Frank Mir, respectively. He will be looking to get back in the win column against Buentello (25-11), who lost a majority decision to Stefan Struve in a three round slugfest at UFC 107.
As well, though not yet confirmed by UFC officials, lightweight Clay Guida will be back in action as he takes on Shannon Gugerty.
Guida (25-8) is coming off a loss to Kenny Florian at UFC 107. His opponent, Gugery (12-5) is 2-2 in the UFC with submission victories over Dale Hartt and Matt Grice.
