The UFC handed out their traditional “Fight of the Night,” Submission of the Night,” and “Knockout of the Night” awards for UFN 20 to the tune of $30,000 each.
In a fight that nearly ended in the first frame, Tom Lawlor and Aaron Simpson went on to battle for a full three rounds, garnering “Fight of the Night” in the process.
In what many consider to be an upset, Evan Dunham defeated Efrain Escudero by armbar despite getting rocked in the first round. Dunham was awarded “Submission of the Night,” forcing Escudero to tap in the third round.
By default, Gerald Harris went home with “Knockout of the Night.” In the only bout to be finished by TKO, Harris finished off John Salter with some ground-and-pound and went home 30 grand richer.
