The WEC handed out their traditional “Fight of the Night,” Knockout of the Night,” and “Submission of the Night” awards for WEC 45 to the tune of $10,000 each.
Headliners Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Ed “9mm” Ratcliff each earned an extra $10k and ”Fight of the Night” honors for their battle at WEC 45. Scott Jorgensen and Takeya Mizugaki were awarded “Fight of the Night” as well, taking home $5,000 each.
“Knockout of the Night” went to Anthony Njokuani, who delivered a devastating high-kick to the head of Chris Horodecki followed by some ground and pound to finish him off in the first round.
WEC newcomer Brad Picket picked up “Submission of the Night,” finishing opponent Kyle Dietz by peruvian necktie in the second round.
