The UFC handed out their traditional “Fight of the Night,” Submission of the Night,” and “Knockout of the Night” awards for UFC 107 to the tune of $65,000 each.
Ultimate Fighter season nine finalist DaMarques Johnson came away with the “Submission of the Night” award after landing an upkick from his back which he used to then transition to a triangle choke, forcing opponent Edgar Garcia to tap.
Alan Belcher and Wilson Gouveia both earned “Fight of the Night” for their standup battle that Belcher ultimately got the better of, finishing Gouveia by TKO in the first round.
An unaired bout between TJ Grant and Kevin Burns was the site of the night’s “Knockout of the Night,” as Grant came away 65k richer after finishing Burns with strikes in the first round.
