Former World Wrestling Entertainment star Bobby Lashley has signed a multi-year deal with Strikeforce and will make his debut for the organization on January 30th.
Lashley’s opponent has not been named, but he will be fighting on the main card of Strikeforce’s first-ever event in Florida, held at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida.
Lashley is 4-0 in his MMA career, last appearing in June at Ultimate Chaos where he defeated Bob Sapp by TKO in the first round. A native of Kansas, Lashley joined Florida’s American Top Team in October to bolster his training in MMA.
Strikeforce last week announced that former football star Herschel Walker, along with Nick Diaz, and Cris Cyborg are also scheduled for the event.
Tickets for the event officially go on-sale today at the BankAtlantic Center ticket office as well as online at www.Ticketmaster.com.
