UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn has announced the upcoming release of the first MMA fighter iPhone application–the “BJ Penn App.”
The application will give users full access to Penn’s personal website (www.bjpenn.com), including photos/videos, upcoming events, a custom twitter client, as well as his popular social network. Users will also be able to keep up on the latest stories, blogs, interviews, and news related to MMA and BJ Penn.
“We wanted to give the fans of myself and MMA a fun experience. I am excited about this iPhone app and can’t wait for the fans to get their hands on it,” said Penn.
Penn, in collaboration with iPhone app developer Clever Coding, expect to release Version 1 during the week of December 7, 2009. Minimum requirements specify an iPhone or iPod Touch 3.0 or later.

UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn is scheduled to defend his title against Diego Sanchez on December 12th at UFC 107.
