Welterweight contenders Paul Daley and Carlos Condit will square off in the UFC’s first event of the new year at UFC 108.
The two competitors have agreed to meet in a bout that will likely be on the night’s main card.
Daley made his UFC debut in September, filling in for an injured Mike Swick and defeating Martin Kampmann by TKO in the first round.
Condit has seen two fights in the organization since moving over from the WEC; losing to the aforementioned Kampmann in April via split decision before defeating Jake Ellenberger in September at UFC Fight Night.
UFC 108 remains without a main event fight. Rumored bouts of Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort and Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin have both been ruled out.
UFC 108 takes place on January 2nd from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
