Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin Not Happening at UFC 108

A heavyweight title fight between champion Brock Lesnar and challenger Shane Carwin has been put on permanent hiatus.

In a post to his official webpage, Carwin confirmed that the bout is not happening anytime soon.

“Guys my manager Jason Genet just told me that UFC 108 is not happening,” Carwin posted. “Brock has Mono and what the UFC has told me is that I have earned the title shot but I have to wait for the title holder.”

Lesnar and Carwin were originally scheduled to clash at UFC 106 later this month, however it was revealed last week that Lesnar was suffering from an illness and would have to withdraw. Though never officially announced, the bout was then re-scheduled for UFC 108 in January.

Unfortunately, that has now been postponed as well until Lesnar regains his health.
