H.I.T. Squad member Matt Veach has stepped up to face Frankie Edgar at The Ultimate Fighter Finale in December.
A matchup between Edgar and Kurt Pellegrino had originally been slated for the night’s main card, however a back injury has forced Pellegrino to withdraw.
The replacement of Veach has now left Mark Bocek without an opponent for the event. There is no word yet on whether he will remain on the card.
Veach is 1-0 in the UFC and 11-0 overall. He made his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night in February defeating Matt Grice by TKO.
The Ultimate Fighter Finale is scheduled for December 5th and will be broadcast live on Spike TV.
