Background: Wren comes from a wrestling background. After winning numerous wresting awards in high school, he competed internationally in Greco Roman. He was granted a scholarship to wrestle for powerhouse Iowa State University, but ended up forgoing that opportunity to pursue MMA full-time.
Expectations: Wren is one of the younger fighters in the house, but still has quite a few fights under his belt. His wrestling background should give him an advantage, and his time spent with Travis Lutter should help him utilize that wrestling once he gets someone on the ground. He doesn’t have as much notoriety as some of the other guys, but if previous seasons are any indication, wrestlers typically do very well.
