Shane Carwin rumored to fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 106

Heavyweight contender Shane Carwin is the next man to fight for the Heavyweight strap. At least, that’s what the rumor is.

According to Fighters Only magazine, “a well-placed source has confirmed the bout is definitely on.”

Carwin was originally scheduled to fight Cain Velasquez at UFC 104, with the winner of that bout likely to then go on to face Lesnar at a later date.

There has been no official confirmation from the UFC, and Velasquez’ management team has not been informed that the fight with Carwin is off. So, this could just end up a rumor.

Carwin is 4-0 in the UFC and holds a perfect overall professional record at 11-0. In his last fight at UFC 96, he knocked out Gabriel Gonzaga in the first round. Stay tuned.
