Background: Nelson is the IFL Heavyweight Champion and has competed in the ADCC Submission Wrestling Championships. He has beaten some top heavyweight fighters, including Brad Imes and Fabiano Scherner, and boasts an excellent ground game.
Expectations: Nelson is certainly being hailed as a favorite to win the show. With his experience and stellar record, it’s easy to see why. However, he is coming off two consecutive losses (to Andrei Arlovski and Jeff Monson, respectively) so it will be interesting to see if that plays on his psyche at all.
